Living for God’s pleasure

The Lord requires our total submission to Him, living a life pleasing unto Him at all times.

Romans 12:1; Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

As believers, we should willingly offer our bodies to God as living sacrifice for His honour, praise and glory, because of His profound mercy to us in Christ.

☘Our greatest desire should be to live lives of holy worship and devotion to God. This requires separating ourselves from the principles and patterns of the world, and pursuing God in holy passion and focus.

☘Our bodies are to be consecrated to God for a lifetime of worship and service. We are to offer our bodies as dead to sin, instruments of righteousness and as the temple of the Holy Spirit. (Rom 6:12-13, 1 cor 6:19)

🍏Considering our Tongues and Sexuality!

✅The Tongue: James 3:1-12
God has imbued the power of the tongue with the ability to create either life or death. Proverbs 18:21.
There is only one way to control the tongue, and that is to yield it to God. Under His direction, it will create life.
How do we use our tongues?
James 3:10-11: Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?
Study Ephesians 4:29, Matthew 12:33-37.

✅Sexuality: 1Cor 6:12-20
1 Cor 6:15; Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!
Sexual purity guards you from defiling yourself as a child of God.
We are surrounded by a culture where sexual immorality enjoys popular approval. Sex has been reduced to a form of recreation! As Christians, we must seek to maintain high moral standards within a perverse climate of permissiveness.
